Coro & Fim
Chiaroscuro - Design Week 2025
Exhibition
On the occasion of Milan Design Week 2025, Fim Umbrellas and Coro Italia return to the evocative setting of the Biblioteca Umanistica dell’Incoronata with Chiaroscuro, an installation conceived and directed by 967arch.
This collective project celebrates the power of collaboration between companies, designers, artists, and artisans, weaving together design, art, and culture into an immersive and multisensory experience.
At the heart of the installation is Terraferma, a new collection designed by 967arch for Coro Italia: tables, chairs, sofas, and coffee tables featuring gentle lines and a welcoming feel, crafted in metal shaped with unexpected softness and fluidity.
Fim Umbrellas, on the other hand, focuses on the aesthetic and functional innovation of its parasols, which offer shade by day and transform into luminous lanterns by night. The installation also showcases an exclusive collaboration with Etro Home Textile, whose iconic fabrics dress the umbrellas, blending Fim’s design research with Etro’s artisanal and creative excellence.
Art plays a key role in the project, thanks to a collaboration with Galleria Giovanni Bonelli, which presents an installation by artist Velasco Vitali in the cloister of the library. Inspired by the Sufi treatise The Book of the Tree and the Four Birds, the work explores the spiritual and universal dimensions of existence, adding symbolic depth to the exhibition journey.
