The new HQ of Cisco Photonics, which has an area of about 5.600 sqm spread over 4 levels, is located in Vimercate adjacent to the nearby centro direzionale Torri Bianche. The project is developed according to the basic concept of subdividing the spaces into two macro areas, the technical one dedicated to the equipment testing laboratories and the other destined exclusively to offices.

The ground floor, characterized by an ceiling height of 5.7 meters, welcomes most of the laboratories conceived according to a new spatial typology aimed at improving environmental quality, noise and temperature. They are characterized by the presence of delimited environments, the “aquariums”, which house all the climatic chambers, the test equipment and all the necessary conditioning equipment, adjacent to the open space where the Cisco operators’ benches are located.

The first floor, also used as laboratory, is almost exclusively occupied by the racks lab, organized inside by single rows of racks, and relative control rooms.

The second and third floors host the Cisco offices organized in open space and numerous support rooms such as meeting rooms, break areas, print areas, storage, etc. as well as two special areas: the demo area for customers and the recreational area for Cisco employees.
